Civil servants should not use messengers for official purposes. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president, told reporters about this, commenting on the situation amid Telegram founder Pavel Durov’s arrest in France, TASS reports. According to Peskov, no messenger, including Telegram, is reliable from the point of view of information security. He added that the Russian President's staff follows that rule. "We do not use any messenger for official purposes because that would be a violation of official rules and official ethics," Peskov said. Telegram founder Pavel Durov was detained at Paris-Le Bourget Airport on August 24. The next day, his detention was extended by 96 hours. The Paris prosecutor's office accuses him of complicity in drug trafficking, crimes against children, and fraud. That is, in fact, he is seen as an accomplice of those who commit these and other offenses using Telegram.
