The Indian government has set up a committee to monitor the situation along the Bangladesh border to ensure the safety of its citizens living there, Indian Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah has announced. Considering the current situation in Bangladesh, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has set up a committee to monitor the situation on the Indo-Bangladesh border, Shah wrote on social media. The committee will maintain communication channels with the Bangladeshi authorities to ensure the safety of Indian citizens, ethnic Hindus, and other minority communities living there, he added.
