Supporters of the Palestinian Hamas movement claim that Iran's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani has informed them about the intention of the Iranian leadership to give a decisive response to Israel for the assassination of the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran. The respective statement was posted on the official Telegram channel of the radicals. It was added that Kani has called the killing of the Hamas political leader a violation of the norms of international law, and stated that the Iranian authorities have already made a decision about the time and scale of their retaliatory strike. Also, the aforesaid radicals assure that Iran's acting FM emphasized that Tehran is considering the potential strike to Israel in response to Haniyeh's murder, and first of all as an exercise of their right to self-defense.
