US former president and Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump's election campaign has accused the CBS News television and the YouGov research organization of data manipulation, according to a statement of the campaign. The pretext for this accusation is the results of a poll which showed the victory of Vice President Kamala Harris in the hypothetical presidential elections. The latest CBS/YouGov poll with registered voters shows a shift in the margin of error between Trump and Harris in the nationwide direct vote, the aforesaid statement said, in part. It can also be seen from the document that it is the result of a methodological decision. According to the representative of the Trump election campaign, without this manipulation, the former US president would have maintained the lead in the ratio of 51-49. The poll in question was conducted between July 30 and August 2. A total of 3,102 registered American voters took part in it, and its margin of error was about 2.1 points.
