The application submitted by Armenia to put the Vishaps (dragons, in Armenian) and the Cultural Landscape of Tirinkatar ancient site in Aragatsotn Province of Armenia on the Tentative List of UNESCO World Heritage was discussed and approved at the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee. This session is taking place in New Delhi, the capital of India, from July 20 to 30, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. This is the fifth site registered by Armenia in the Tentative List of UNESCO World Heritage. The first four were registered in 1995. The respective list can be found here. Several sites in Armenia are already registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
