There was an explosion in the fireworks warehouse in Elin Pelin, Bulgaria, after which a strong fire broke out, reports Nova.bg. Two persons with serious injuries were hospitalized. Later, one of them, who was the owner of this warehouse, died in the hospital. Another victim has 85 percent burns. Law enforcement agencies note that there still are two people in the warehouse. The explosion occurred Thursday, but the fire continues Friday morning. Explosions are also heard. A drone continues to fly over the area to monitor when the explosions will stop so that the rescuers can start putting out the fire. Evacuation of residents from nearby areas was announced. At one of the exits of the city, queues of cars have formed—even in the direction of capital Sofia. Law enforcement agencies have not yet issued any theory of what happened. An investigation will begin once the fire is extinguished. According to the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior , this warehouse had all the means of safety. Over the years, many inspections were carried out there, and they did not reveal any safety violations. The last inspection there was conducted about two months ago.
