Majority of Democratic Party convention delegates ready to support Kamala Harris

A majority of the Democratic Party's convention delegates will support US Vice President Kamala Harris, which is necessary for the party's presidential nomination, reports AP. According to an AP survey, about 2,700 convention delegates are ready to vote for Harris. A total of 1,976 delegate votes are needed to nominate the president. Voting will take place from August 1 to August 7.
