US President Joe Biden does not intend to resign early after announcing his withdrawal from the election race, according to White House press secretary Andrew Bates. Bates stated that Biden plans to “finish his term” in the highest government office and “deliver more historic results for the American people.” In a statement published by Politico, Bates highlighted that Biden has ensured a healthier American economy and lower crime rates. He also noted that new countries were admitted to NATO under Biden's administration. The presidential election in the United States will take place on November 5th. It was initially assumed that the Democratic Party would be represented by Biden, with his candidacy expected to be approved at the national convention in Chicago, Illinois, scheduled for August 19-22. However, after Biden’s poor performance at the pre-election televised debate with Republican Donald Trump on June 27, calls among Democrats and others for Biden to withdraw from the race have grown louder.
