Azerbaijan has announced the carrying out of a "local operation" in Artsakh, but to what extent it is local, I have no such impression at the moment. Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition "With Honor" Faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and a security expert, wrote this on Facebook. "Also, Azerbaijan has announced the targeting of the military facilities of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], but the artillery-missile systems [currently] being used [by Azerbaijan] are a serious threat to peaceful settlements and facilities as well. I am not even talking about the fact that, as a rule, [Armenian] civilians were also targeted [by Azerbaijan] under this ‘justification’ in the past. "It is still unknown what the main international players are busy with, and the RA authorities had expressed their position and stance earlier—running away from its mission and obligations," Abrahamyan added.
