The Federal Bureau of Investigation considers the shooting that took place at a campaign rally of former President Donald Trump as an attempted assassination, as well as a "potential" domestic terrorist attack. This was reported by The Hill, citing an FBI spokesman. He said that at this stage of the investigation, the FBI believes Trump's attacker was a lone gunman."We're investigating this as an attempted assassination" as well as a potential domestic terrorist attack. So our counterterrorism division and criminal division are working together to determine a motive," said Robert Wells, executive assistant director of the FBI's National Security Division.Speaking about the identity of the shooter, the FBI spokesman noted that the agency has yet to conduct further investigation.As you know, on Saturday at the campaign rally of Donald Trump there was a shooting incident, during which he received a slight ear wound.One of the participants of the event, who was in the affected area in the stands, was killed, two other people were injured.Special agents shot and killed Trump's attacker, who turned out to be 20-year-old Matthew Crooks. The FBI called the incident an attempted assassination.
