The swearing-in ceremony of Iranian President-elect Massoud Pezeshkian will be held on July 30 at the Majlis (parliament) building. Mojtaba Yousefi, a member of the Presidium of the Iranian parliament, said."According to the program, the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the 14th president will be held on 9 Mordad," Yousefi told ISNA news agency. He said the inauguration is to be preceded by a ceremony of signing a decree by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to approve the elected president.According to the law, the Majlis Presidium member noted, the inauguration ceremony is held "in the presence of the chief justice of the Supreme Court, the head of the judiciary, members of the Council of Guardians of the Constitution and other high-ranking officials and military personnel" in the Iranian parliament building, during which the president-elect takes an oath of office and swears to fulfill his duties honorably.
