Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he has asked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to support his peace initiative and join efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine."I asked Mr. President to support us in our peace mission. The positions of the warring parties are still far apart. But if the 'friends of peace' unite, with united efforts, we can take the next step towards peace," Orban said in a video message posted on Facebook following talks with Erdogan on the margins of the NATO summit in Washington.The Hungarian prime minister also named the Turkish president the only state leader who had successful experience in mediating the conflict in Ukraine while concluding a "grain deal."
