Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received a delegation headed by the head of the United States Agency for International Development, Samantha Power.The sides discussed the agenda of Armenia's digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of the United States' continuous support in this direction, the press service of the government informs. In particular, the importance of digitalization in the spheres of strengthening democracy, development of human capital, economy, and financial system, ensuring trust in public institutions, and protection of human rights was highlighted.The sides also touched upon the joint works carried out in Armenia with the assistance of USAID for the optimization of public services, improvement of the legislative field in order to strengthen cyber security, and the development of cloud technologies.Samantha Power informed that the Agency for International Development started cooperation with Amazon Web Services in the amount of 5 million USD for the implementation of cloud infrastructures and capacity building in Armenia. The meeting was followed by a statement by Samantha Power, Head of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
