News - Armenian Defense Minister and Iranian Ambassador discuss defense cooperation and regional security

On July 9th, RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Mehdi Sobhani, Ministry of Defense reports.  The newly appointed Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the IRI in the RA, Colonel Mohammad Najafi, also participated in the meeting. Papikyan extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Defence Attaché and wished him success in his pivotal mission. Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the former Defence Attaché, Colonel Bahman Sadeghin for the productive cooperation. The discussion encompassed topics related to Armenia-Iran defense cooperation and regional security.
