News - Legislature head: Armenia is ready to sign the peace treaty

There is no delay on the part of Armenia in signing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan. Armenia’s National Assembly speaker, Alen Simonyan, stated this during a joint press conference with the visiting US delegation, led by Senator Roger Wicker, in Yerevan Friday. "We [i.e. Armenia] are ready to sign it, and we can say that the ‘ball’ [in this regard] is on the Azerbaijani side," Simonyan said. As for agreeing on the regulation of the border delimitation commissions Armenia and Azerbaijan, he said that this process is underway. "We are full of hope that we will succeed," Simonyan added.
