Hraparak daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes s follows, in part: There are only a few days left for the RA and Azerbaijan to approve the draft regulation of the joint activity of the commission on border delimitation and border security issues. According to the arrangement, it should be signed on July 1, which will define the principles based on which and from where the border delimitation will begin. To begin, as there was no border delimitation in Tavush [Province of Armenia]. Otherwise, it would have been done after the approval of the regulation, but unilateral concessions. Next, Azerbaijan wants to delimit the border of Gegharkunik or Ararat Provinces [of Armenia], in particular the Ararat-Vayots Dzor [Province] section, where back in April-May 2018, during the term of office of the chief of the GS [i.e. the General Staff of the Armenian army], Artak Davtyan, on the side of Nakhichevan, we ceded quite a large area in the Zangakatun [village] section. The enemy advanced about 6 km. We have lost boundaries in the Areni [village] sector, the road is in danger, while in June 2014 our army had advanced about 400 hectares to the Armenia-Nakhichevan border, occupied new positions that were dominant over their positions.
