by Lilit June 25, 2024

In June, the staff of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited the Armenian detainees held in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku. Zara Amatuni, Communication and Prevention Program Manager of the ICRC Armenia office, informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this. She noted that these detainees were given the opportunity to have a phone call with, or send a video message to, their relatives. It is reported that personal talks were held with them, conditions were created for contacts with their families, and the conditions of their detention and the rules for the treatment towards them were evaluated.
