News - Armenia deputy defense minister to reporters: Are you sure that Azerbaijan is taking active actions?

Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan did not give a clear answer to any of the reporters' questions in the National Assembly of Armenia Tuesday.  He said that the news agency of the Ministry of Defense reports any information very quickly. "The Ministry of Defense is carrying out its work commensurate with the situation," said Sargsyan. To a reporter's remark that Azerbaijan has become more active and is taking active actions, he responded. "Are you sure that it is taking active actions? It is constantly spreading information that does not correspond to reality, about which the Ministry of Defense [of Armenia] issues a statement. If any problems arise, we provide regular information; moreover, we provide verified information." And when asked what the current situation is at Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan, the deputy defense minister said that the news agency of the Armenian Ministry of Defense will issue information if there is a troubled situation at the border.
