News - 15th Yerevan International Music Festival kicks off

The 15th Yerevan International Music Festival has started with the opening of the 98th concert season of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. This year the festival is dedicated to the 120th birth anniversary of the great Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. Famous pianist Dmitry Maslev performed at the aforesaid concert under the leadership of renowned conductor Valentin Uryupin. Aram Khachaturian’s famous and popular works, as well as rarely performed chamber works, will be performed throughout the 15th Yerevan International Music Festival. World-famous Armenian and foreign soloists and conductors will perform, and tours to Armenia’s provinces will take place.
