Congress members propose to increase US funding of Armenia by $100,000,000

Armenian Caucus Co-Chair, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) has offered a bipartisan amendment with Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) to the Fiscal Year 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs (SFOPs) appropriations bill, which increases US funding for Armenia by $100,000,000 under the Assistance to Europe, Eurasia, and Central Asia (AEECA) account, reports the Armenian Assembly of America on Facebook This funding will support Armenian victims from Nagorno-Karabakh currently residing in Armenia, who were forced to flee their ancestral homeland amid Azerbaijan’s full-scale attack in 2023.
