News - Legislature to hold hearings on proposal to hold referendum on Armenia applying for EU membership

Hearings on the topic "On proposal to hold a referendum on the matter of Armenia submitting an application for membership in the European Union" will be held Friday in the National Assembly (NA). In this regard, the NA Standing Committee on European Integration will convene a special meeting Monday. The Platform of Democratic Forces—comprising the Republic Party, the For the Republic party, the Christian-Democratic Party, and the European Party of Armenia—have proposed to hold such a referendum in the country.
