The Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Azerbaijan, with its disinformation that happened in the last two days, does not create grounds for possible aggression. Andranik Kocharyan, an MP from the ruling majority Civil Contract Faction and Chair of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, stated this during the press briefings at the NA Friday. Kocharyan said he formed this opinion thanks to "continued processes aimed at peace." "The denial is the basis that the Azerbaijani side also spent time to find out the nature of the shots, to find out where they came from. We need to clarify also what kind of shots they were—if there were. But I am sure that there were no shots. Shootings can always happen, even in conditions of complete peace. They can be unprovoked, military. Someone could drink [alcohol] and shoot. But this is definitely not from our side. Maybe from their side?" said Kocharyan.
