Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, discussed the situation in the South Caucasus. This was noted in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Russia, based on the results of the meeting between the two FMs, on the sidelines of the BRICS foreign ministers meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, reports TASS. "The main directions of the international agenda were touched upon, including the situation in the Middle East and Transcaucasia [i.e. the South Caucasus], as well as in some international platforms," the Russian MFA noted, in part.
