The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, received James O'Brien, Assistant Secretary at the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the US Department of State, the PM's staff informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The premier highlighted the importance of holding the capstone meeting of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue in Yerevan Tuesday, and expressed his belief that it will give a new impetus to the further development and strengthening of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and the US. Also, Pashinyan emphasized the consistent assistance of the US to the democratic reforms being implemented in Armenia. The PM noted that it is important to effectively implement the agreements reached during the Armenia-EU-US high-level meeting held in Brussels on May 5. James O'Brien, for his part, stressed with satisfaction that the capstone meeting of the Armenia-US Strategic Dialogue in Yerevan was held effectively, adding that the US administration will continue to assist the Armenian government in order to promote reforms in various domains. The interlocutors referred to the discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, the border delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata declaration of 1991, as well as the Crossroads of Peace project of the Armenian government and its principles. In addition, PM Pashinyan informed that the government of Armenia has approved the housing provision program for Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and stressed the need for the assistance by international partners in its implementation.
