A decrease in the tourist flow in Armenia was recorded in the first three months of 2024 compared to the same period of 2023. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Finance Vahan Sirunyan during the debates on the report on the implementation of Armenia’s state budget in the first quarter of 2024, at the meeting of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly on Friday. According to Sirunyan, this decrease was 1.9 percent. "It is mainly caused by the 22.2% reduction in the flow of tourists from Russia," he explained. But the number of tourists from other countries increased by 21%. Visitors from Georgia, India, and Iran contributed considerably to this. Overall, 441 thousand people visited Armenia during the reporting period, noted the deputy minister of finance.
