On September 17, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amirabdollahian, Azerbaijani media outlets report, citing the Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry. The ministers discussed issues on the bilateral and regional agenda, as well as the current regional situation in the post-conflict period. “During the telephone conversation, issues arising from recent meetings between the co-chairs of the Azerbaijani-Iranian State the Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation, and further steps that need to be taken were discussed,” the statement said. It is also reported that Bayramov complained about Armenia, again voicing false accusations against the country of so-called “military provocations,” which, according to the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, “dealt a blow” to the “peaceful efforts” of Baku.
