Israeli forces attacked a tent camp in Tell es-Sultan district—northwest of Rafah—where displaced persons were staying, killing at least 35 Palestinians. There are many women and children among the dead. Al Jazeera, for its part, reported that the attack in Tell es-Sultan occurred at the same time as the Israeli bombings of the Jabalia and Nuseirat Camps, as well as of Gaza City. At least 160 people were killed in the last 24 hours. Later, WAFA news agency noted that the death toll in the recent Israeli attacks increased to 40. Most of the victims are women and children. At least eight rockets fell on the tent camp. As a result of the attack, a fire started, and many people who were in the tents were burned alive. The Palestine Red Crescent Society informed that the hospitals in this region are not able to serve such a large number of wounded and affected due to the Israeli destruction of the healthcare system in Gaza.
