News - Armenia, Azerbaijan deploying border guards in Tavush Province sector as of today

As of Friday, the border guard troops of the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia officially take over the protection of 1.9km sector of Berkaber village, as well as 4.9km sectors of Voskepar and Baghanis villages of Tavush Province in the Armenian national border, the NSS noted in a statement. And until July 24, protection of the 5.8km sector of the Kirants village of Tavush Province in the Armenian national border will be carried out by a transition scheme. By the same logic, as of Friday, the protection of the opposite border sectors by Azerbaijan will be carried out by the units of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan.
