President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Armenian city of Shushi of Azerbaijani-occupied Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Lukashenko and Aliyev visited a newly constructed building there, reports APA. At Thursday’s news conference following his meeting with Aliyev, Lukashenko, calling the president of Azerbaijan his "brother," had made a number of openly unfriendly statements in connection with Armenia. "I remembered our conversation before the [Nagorno-Karabakh] war [in 2020], before your battle for freedom, when we were talking philosophically at lunch together. Then we came to the conclusion that a war can be won," Lukashenko had said, among others, addressing Aliyev. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)—of which Belarus and Armenia are members, but Azerbaijan is not—has not yet responded to these provocative statements by Alexander Lukashenko.
