News - Armenia parliament speaker in Geneva, has short private talk with Azerbaijan counterpart

Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova had a short private conversation in Geneva, Switzerland Thursday, informed the NA speaker's press secretary, Nelly Ghulyan. The actual meeting between the speakers of the parliaments of the two countries will take place today—and start at 8:30pm. Alen Simonyan and Sahiba Gafarova had met in Geneva also on March 22, and discussed the possible assistance by the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the ongoing peace talks between the two countries. Simonyan is in Geneva to attend the preparatory committee meeting of the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
