Armenia Investigative Committee: Serviceman's body found with fatal gunshot wound to chin

The dead body—with a fatal gunshot wound to the chin—of Artak Avalyan, a contract soldier of an Armenian military unit, was found Tuesday in the combat position of the guard station of the same military unit. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has been opened a criminal investigation into this incident, the Committee informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The scene of the incident was inspected. The external examination of the body of this soldier found no traces of violence. All servicemen and officers on duty in the aforesaid combat position were questioned. Also, a forensic medical examination of the body was ordered.
