Russia welcomes the meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled for Friday in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this during Wednesday’s press briefing. "We [i.e. Russia] are ready to continue to support the promotion of the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process," Zakharova added. She reminded that a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will take place today in Moscow. Zakharova noted that the matter of ensuring peace, stability, and security in the South Caucasus will be on the agenda of this talk.
