Russia will respond to the sending of Western troops to Ukraine with a nuclear attack on Washington, Paris and London, said Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. "The sending of their troops to the territory of Ukraine will mean the direct engagement of those countries in the war, to which we [i.e. Russia] will have to respond. And, alas, not on the territory of Ukraine; there will be a global catastrophe," Medvedev wrote on Telegram. Also, he warned that the Western elites will not be able to hide from Russia's response on Capitol Hill, the Elysee Palace, and 10 Downing Street. "By the way, [then US President John F.] Kennedy and [then USSR Premier Nikita] Khrushchev were able to grasp that more than 60 years ago. But the infantile morons who have come to power in the West do not want to grasp [that] in any way," stressed the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council.
