The prosecutor's office has sent to the National Security Service (NSS) the report with a request to prosecute Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan announced at Friday’s session of the National Assembly of Armenia. "There were certain documents in the petition, including copies of ownership certificates, the authenticity of which needed to be checked. We have sent [them] to the NSS, asking [them] to submit the results of a proper operational check to us, so that the matter of launching not to launch proceedings can be discussed," said the prosecutor general. A crime report under the Criminal Code of Armenia was submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia—and with the demand to prosecute PM Pashinyan in connection with launching a process of handing over the sovereign territories and settlements of Armenia to Azerbaijan in Tavush Province. The crime report was prepared by lawyer Ara Zohrabyan and Colonel Hayk Nahapetyan of the reserve army.
