We regret that the Armenian authorities continue their public criticism of the CSTO. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), said during Thursday’s weekly press briefing—and commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s most recent statement regarding the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). "Criticism can and should be made, but not unfounded. It is about unfounded criticism. This, in the case when the secretariat of the organization has publicly confirmed the compliance with all its obligations towards the [Armenian] republic, consistent with the CSTO statutory goals and principles," said Zakharova, noting that the CSTO has proven its effectiveness in the South Caucasus for the past 30 years.
