News - Artsakh Information Center: Youth moving from Karabakh to Armenia are not soldiers, they are students, Russia citizens

In recent days, some Azerbaijani media are attempting to show the transfer of a group of people from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Armenia by the Russian peacekeeping troops as the evacuation of servicemen. The Artsakh Information Center noted this in a statement about this. It added as follows: "We consider it necessary to note that there are no servicemen who are RA [(Republic of Armenia)] citizens in the Artsakh Republic, which Stepanakert and Yerevan have announced many times. The persons transferred from Artsakh by Russian peacekeepers are students of Armenia and foreign higher education institutions, RF [(Russian Federation)] citizens and their family members, as well as RA citizen specialists and workers who are engaged in the fields of construction, mining in the republic, who have lost their jobs as a result of the blockade [of Artsakh] by Azerbaijan could not return to [their] permanent place of residence."
