Azerbaijan has alluded to the real objectives of setting up an illegal checkpoint at the Lachin corridor. After the installation of the Lachin checkpoint on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and the start of its operation, the work on the arrest of around 400 wanted persons was accelerated, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, told reporters. "Several Armenians who committed war crimes in Karabakh have been arrested," he said. "After the installation of the checkpoint, the work of arresting about 400 wanted persons and transferring them to the investigation was accelerated. I hope that we will achieve more positive results in this regard in the future."
