For the third year in a row, the governor has prohibited the holding of the Armenian Genocide commemoration event in Istanbul, Turkey. The organizers of this commemoration of the victims of the Armenian Genocide expressed their displeasure with the governor's decision and called for its review, reports Agos Armenian weekly of Istanbul. The organizers emphasized that they held such commemorative events in Istanbul every year from 2010 to 2019, but after the Covid-related restrictions, the Governorship of Istanbul has not allowed them for three consecutive years.
