News - Armenia PM attendance or non-attendance to CSTO summit is sovereign choice, organization chief states

The participation or non-participation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in 2024 is the decision of a sovereign and independent country, CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov told TASS. "Besides, there is still time before the summit, a lot can change during these months—hopefully for the better," added the head of this organization. In recent times, Armenia has repeatedly not attended the meetings of some CSTO integration formats. Also, Pashinyan announced that the country has frozen its participation in this organization.
