Precisely one year ago, Azerbaijan carried out a military aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, as a result of which Armenia had more than 200 casualties and many wounded. Edmon Marukyan, Ambassador-at-Large of Armenia, on Friday noted about this on X—former Twitter. He added as follows: “Until today, around 150 square kilometers of the sovereign territory of Armenia are occupied, and despite the demands of the international community, the Azerbaijani armed forces have not been withdrawn from the occupied territories. “Two days ago, assessing the results of the peace process, I spoke about the confidence building steps. The withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the occupied territories of Armenia can be a serious step towards building trust between the parties. “The armed forces of Azerbaijan must leave the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia and all prisoners of war and other detainees must be released from the prisons of Azerbaijan.”
