News - Pallone: US Senate hearing shed light on Azerbaijan president's deliberate campaign of ethnic cleansing in Karabakh

US Congressman Frank Pallone, Co-Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus has thanked Senator Robert “Bob” Menendez, Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, for holding a committee hearing on the situation in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). “Thank you Senator Menendez for holding this extremely important hearing on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Artsakh. This helped shed light on [Azerbaijani president Ilham] Aliyev's deliberate campaign of ethnic cleansing that continues with Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor,” Pallone wrote on X—former Twitter. During the aforesaid hearing, Menendez had noted that Aliyev says he is not orchestrating ethnic cleansing, but that is exactly what he is doing in Artsakh.
