News - Ambassador to Armenia: Impossible to ignore high-ranking Iran official’s words about borders

Our red lines have not changed, a high-ranking Iranian official has spoken against the change of internationally drawn borders, and this cannot be ignored. Iran's ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, stated this during a press conference on Tuesday. "We [i.e. Iran] are categorically against any geopolitical change and the change of internationally recognized borders. If there are border issues, they should be resolved through dialogue, based on shared perceptions, as well as respecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries. We are in favor of the peaceful way of recognizing the internationally recognized borders," said the Iranian envoy to Armenia.
