In the coming years, Armenia plans to increase the number of its satellites in space to three. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, announced this during a press conference Monday. He assured that space activity is a priority domain to Armenia. Hayrapetyan recalled that the ArmSat-1 satellite of Armenia carries out space photography. He noted that the expectations from the country’s first satellite are to start enriching the knowledge of Armenian specialists. "In such directions as engineering, artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum technologies,” added the Armenian high-tech minister. “The government intends to further increase funding in the education sector."
