At its session held on Friday, the Armenian parliament voted in favor of ratifying the agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and Europol. The agreement is aimed at starting collaboration in the fight against cross-border crime; in particular, drug smuggling, cybercrime, trafficking, illegal immigration, illegal asset recovery, and money laundering. After the ratification of this agreement, an office of a liaison officer will be located in the Netherlands, through which Armenia will be able to use Europol information. A similar office will be located in Armenia as well, so that Europol also will have access to the information.
