The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has doubled its investments in Armenia's economy since 2022. This includes on-the-job training for women and young people to make them more competitive in the new economy, said USAID Administrator Samantha Power in a video message on X—former Twitter. She noted that USAID has worked with the Armenian government to pass new regulations that improve the investment environment to strengthen their imports and exports. All this is paying off, and they are seeing US and Armenia trade increase by 17 percent just in the last year, she noted. Power added that she had the chance to share with Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan that the USAID is going to invest an additional $33 million to build on this important progress. The United States, USAID, and the American people are all determined to help Armenia show that democracy really does deliver, Samantha Power emphasized.
