News - Armenia PM: Russian humanitarian cargo sent to Karabakh can’t have any visible impact on situation

The situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border continues to be tense. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government. "Azerbaijan continues to move its troops along the state border with Armenia and the line of contact with Nagorno-Karabakh. The humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is extremely dire. One truckload of Russian humanitarian cargo that entered Askeran [town] the previous day cannot have any visible impact on the situation. Some of the humanitarian trucks sent by Armenia and France, with 22 trucks, are still waiting for the opportunity to enter Nagorno-Karabakh near Kornidzor [village of Armenia], not far from Lachin corridor. Another, larger amount of cargo is in the nearby area," Pashinyan noted.
