Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: The continued violence can undermine the progress Armenia and Azerbaijan have made towards a lasting and dignified peace. In response to an inquiry of Zhoghovurd daily, this was reported by the US Embassy in Armenia. Thus, on April 1, Zhoghovurd daily had petitioned with a written request to Kristina Kvien, the US Ambassador to the RA, asking [her] to answer several questions regarding [Armenian PM] Nikol Pashinyan's statements made regarding the [expected] handover of [four] Tavush [Province] villages [to Azerbaijan]. (…) In response to our questions, the US Embassy in the RA gave the following response: "The United States supports Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. We hope that Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign a lasting peace agreement that will recognize that sovereignty and territorial integrity; and the sooner, the better. The United States has clearly indicated that this conflict has no military solution. We believe that the continued violence can undermine the progress Armenia and Azerbaijan have made towards a lasting and dignified peace."
