We call on the Israeli authorities to refrain from any unilateral actions that call into question the status quo in Jerusalem," said the statement of the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem, posted Thursday on X—former Twitter. A group of Israelis invaded the Armenian Gardens, known as the “Cows' Garden,” in the Old City, Jerusalem Wednesday, with police assistance, and removed the barriers that were erected there. During the invasion, there was a scuffle between law enforcement officers and Armenian activists, as well as Armenian clergymen.
