If the French weapons given to Armenia had no military significance, Azerbaijan wouldn’t have expressed displeasure whenever talking about them. French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies stated this in an interview to the Public Television of Armenia—and referring to the accusations that the weapons supplied to Armenia from France are not good, and have no real combat significance. "These weapons have defensive significance. And I believe that the French [military] equipment has justified itself in our armies and in the armies of our buyer countries in the world. There is no need to prove it," emphasized the French ambassador to Armenia.
