A total of 78.1 percent of Armenia’s residents consider France to be their country's friend, and 29.7 percent—Russia. This is shown by a survey conducted by the Armenian office of the Gallup International research center. Aram Navasardyan, director of the Gallup International Association in Armenia,, presented the results of the aforesaid survey. "France recorded the highest rate, 78.1 percent. Twelve percent [of the respondents] are neutral in connection with France, 8.8 percent think that it is an unfriendly country [for Armenia]. In second place is India with 68.5 percent, Iran—57.8 percent, USA—41 percent, China—35 percent, Georgia—34 percent, Germany—32 percent, and the Russian Federation—29.7 percent,” Navasardyan said. According to him, the decline in the indicator of Russia being a friend of Armenia is connected with anti-propaganda.
